Jamie & Ryan

May 2025 Package: Luxe Lily

Their Story

Jamie and Ryan met in 2015 at the race track - Victory Lanes Speedway. At first, Jamie and Ryan didn’t interact much; Jamie thought Ryan was “nice but weird”. Some months later, they bumped into each other again and this time they started talking more. Ryan asked Jamie out on a date and the rest is history!

When I first met Ryan and Jamie on a video call, they described their racing adventures as “Jamie breaks everything and Ryan fixes everything!” That sounds like the perfect pairing to me!

When Ryan started thinking about proposing, he knew he had to work hard to come up with a good plan because Jamie finds out everything! (Maybe she should have been a detective!?) In June of 2023, Jamie’s Grandma had sold her condo so the family planned a celebratory dinner. Ryan coordinated his plans with Mom and Grandma so the proposal could be captured on photo to cherish forever.

The Wedding

Aside from ‘tying the knot’, Jamie and Ryan’s goal for their wedding day was to have FUN… no stress, a packed dance floor, and create memories. This coincided perfectly with my mission! My goal is to give couples, their wedding party, and their family a relaxing, stress-free day so that they can celebrate their love.

My day began with the drive out to La Broquerie. It was a smooth drive to this beautiful venue. The air was quite smoky from the forest fires up north but with air conditioning inside the venue, the smoke was hardly an issue. Since the ceremony barn comes set-up already, I got straight to work on setting up the reception and cocktail hour after checking in with the wedding party. The girls got ready inside the beautiful Parlor while the guys got ready at the B&B.

The staff at the Rustic Wedding Barn (owners Sylvie and Devyn) were a delight to work with. Something really great about this venue is that there is a storage room that has a variety of decor items that couples can use for their wedding; this is included in the venue rental price. Jamie and Ryan chose to use a combination of decor available at the venue as well as some of their own “DIY” decor. It was the perfect combination, making set-up, take-down, and hauling items so much easier!

After set-up was complete, it was time for details shots and then it was time for a wedding party photo. The tricky part was that Ryan and Jamie did not do a first look! They got creative and used the barn to help with this task (see photos below!) and the end result was a really cool photo. Next, it was ceremony time!

Two Brad Paisley songs were the perfect pairing for the wedding party’s processional (‘Then’ and ‘She’s Everything’). Weddingbella’s Shawna led a most beautiful personalized “mini matrimony” ceremony. Jamie and Ryan exchange self-written vows. The best vows are the ones that make guests both giggle and tear up and Ryan and Jamie’s vows did just that! After the ceremony was completed with a kiss, the wedding party and immediate family went off to take photos while the rest of the guests enjoyed some beverages, charcuterie snacks, lawn games and mingling during cocktail hour.

The reception began with a grand entrance and then a mouth-watering meal in the upper level. Anna and her team are second-to-none! Next was speeches. One of the sweetest moments of this wedding was the Maid Of Honour’s speech. Prior to the ceremony, MOH Tammy had asked me to make note of the exact time Jamie and Ryan had their first kiss as a married couple. 4:32pm was that time! During her speech, she presented the couple with a gift… a clock, without batteries, set to 4:32pm. She explained that this was to be hung on the wall in their home, and when times get tough (because they will), they are supposed to look at that clock and remember how they felt at exactly that moment. This may or may not have been when I teared up!

After dinner, guests were sent table-by-table to the main floor for a photo with the Bride and Groom. This was such a great way to get a photo with everyone! Next, Ryan and Jamie snuck outside for some sunset photos and then it was time for their first dance. The dance party was lit up with glow sticks and DJ Adnan had the guests dancing the night away! The dessert buffet was tasty cupcakes, donuts, and fruit.

Before I knew it, the wedding celebration had come to an end. Clean-up was a breeze due to the meal being upstairs and the dance party being on the main floor; I was able to clean up the entire upper level before the official clean-up time even began. Groomsmen were a huge help with hauling packed boxes out of the venue and then it was time to head home to sleep. Jamie and Ryan’s wedding was seamless from start to finish! What a beautiful day!

Congratulations Jamie and Ryan!
